About Me
Archery is something I have always wanted to try but never found the time to start. Then came Covid 19 and suddenly I had all the time in the world to learn something new. In June 2020 after the first Lockdown in the UK, I bought my first bow, did a beginners course and was on my way.
I quickly entered some club competitions and an event at Lilleshall that summer before the UK went back into Lockdown. In February of 2021 I met Patrick Huston at a training session and would see him over the following weeks. I knew he was the coach for me so my mum contacted him and to this day it is the best decision I have ever made.
I decided to have this website to post about everything archery and about my progress and experiences in the hope that it inspires others to take up this great sport!
I spent the next 10 months working on my technique, building stamina and learning about the sport of Archery. By the end of 2021 I was impressed with how far I had come and the how much my scores had improved. That December I won the Junior National Indoor Championships!
The Summer of 2022 has been a true rollercoaster ride. I broke two National Records in Clout, won the Junior National Field Championship, Had a 5th place finish in one of the National Tour events, won a silver in the team event at the Commonwealth Europe Championships and finished the summer with a 631 70mtr score – not too bad for my 2nd year of shooting. I finished the year defending my Junior National Indoor title!
2023 Saw me represent Great Britain for the first time at the European Youth Cup and the European Field Championships, where I was part of the Bronze medal U21 Men’s team! My 70mtr score jumped up to a 641 and I finished out the year defending my National Junior Indoor title for the 3rd year in a row!
2024 was an incredible year. I represented Great Britain three times and won my first National Tour Medal, a Bronze at the UK Masters. My 70mtr scores were more consistent and my pb jumped up to a 655. This year also saw me join the AGB Preformance Pathway. The Conversion Academy sits at the top of the Olympic Performance Pathway.Â
